Expoziția "A contemporary response to romanian crafts" este un proiect drag nouă, pe care l-am gândit cu atenție, dar și cu mult entuziasm. Expoziția a fost amenajată în cadrul cafenelei The Institute din București și a fost organizată cu scopul de a expune și promova unsprezece designeri români. Aceștia au fost cei care au ca sursă de inspirație pentru piesele lor meșteșugul tradițional românesc din diferite regiuni ale țării.

Obiectele designerilor români au fost expuse anterior în ediția de Romanian Design Week, așadar integrarea conceptului de creative pink prezent în Cartierul Creativ a fost unul firesc. Bineînțeles, totul a fost gândit în așa fel încât să mențină acele elemente definitorii regăsite în concept, iar cafeneaua a fost locația ideală pentru a transpune atmosfera expoziției, dar la o scară mai restrânsă. De asemenea, am încercat să integrăm echilibrat toate obiectele expuse, care în majoritatea aveau nuanțe particulare, care imită elemente și texturi din natură.

Suntem bucuroase că într-un timp destul de limitat am reușit să readucem puțin din atmosfera Romanian Design Week în această expoziție dedicată designerilor română și vrem ca din ce în ce mai multă lume să vadă valoarea și calitatea unor obiecte făcute manual, de creatori români foarte talentați.

The exhibition "A contemporary response to Romanian crafts" is a project dear to us, which I thought about carefully, but also with a lot of enthusiasm. The exhibition was organized at The Institute cafe in Bucharest and was organized in design to exhibit and promote eleven Romanian designers. These were the ones who have as a source of inspiration for their pieces the traditional Romanian craft from different regions of the country.The objects of the Romanian designers were previously exhibited in the Romanian Design Week edition, so the integration of the concept of creative pink present in the Creative District was a natural one. Of course, everything was designed in such a way as to maintain those defining elements found in the concept, and the coffee shop was the ideal location to transpose the atmosphere of the exhibition, but on a smaller scale. We also tried to integrate in a balanced way all the exhibited objects, most of which had particular nuances, which imitate elements and textures from nature.

We are glad that in a rather limited time we managed to bring back a bit of Romanian Design Week atmosphere in this exhibition dedicated to Romanian designers and we want more and more people to see the value and quality of handmade objects by Romanian creators who are very talented.
